H.E. Ghanim Al Hajeri has served as Undersecretary of the UAE Ministry of Sports since 2024, leading the implementation of the National Sports Strategy 2031 and overseeing transformative initiatives across the sector. With a distinguished career spanning public service, sports leadership, banking, and environmental stewardship, he previously held senior roles including Director General of the General Authority of Sports and Chairman of Al Ain Football Club, where he led the team to global success.

A former officer in the UAE Armed Forces and senior banking executive, H.E. also directed the Al Ain Zoo for over a decade, where he led sustainability and conservation efforts that earned global acclaim. His work supported the LEED Platinum-certified Sheikh Zayed Desert Learning Centre and regional biodiversity initiatives.

He is a member of several global conservation bodies (WAZA, EAZA, IZE, IUCN) and serves on academic and tourism advisory councils. H.E. Al Hajeri holds an Executive MBA from Zayed University, a diploma from Harvard Business School, and a BA in International Studies from the American University in Washington.
