ChM Ts Dr Hayyiratul Fatimah Mohd Zaid (MRSC) is currently a lecturer at the Department of Chemical Engineering, Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP). She obtained her BSc (Hons) in Chemistry Teknology from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), in 2007, MSc in Chemical Engineering, 2012 and PhD in Science (Chemistry), 2016, both from UTP. Her research areas are in the development of ionic liquids, Eutectic based ionic liquids, photocatalyst, demulsifier for oil sludge treatment, hydrogen production, nanomaterial for removal of sulfur, pollution control and energy storage. She has 10 years’ experience in desulfurization, nanomaterial, and ionic liquids. She is also active in creating awareness in the field of STEAM, involved in talks as an international and national speaker and also as a judge. She has published more than 50 papers in ISI/SCOPUS-indexed journals with a H-index of 13. She is a member of Centre of Innovative Nanostructures and nanodevices (COINN) and an associate member of Research in Ionic Liquids (CORIL) at UTP. She is also a member of Malaysian Ionic Liquid Research Society (MILRS), Royal Society of Malaysia (RSC) and Intitute Kimia Malaysia (IKM). Ts Dr Hayyiratul Fatimah Mohd Zaid aspires to make significant advancements in her research by developing sustainable materials for energy storage and pollution control, specifically through ionic liquids and nanomaterials. Additionally, she is dedicated to promoting STEAM education, aiming to inspire future scientists and engineers through outreach and educational programs at both national and international levels.
